Getting to Know Us: Patrick Brady, VP of Sales

We sat down with Patrick Brady this month for our Getting to Know Us series. Patrick is our VP of Sales, but also works with many other departments. Being an avid Sports fan, Patrick has a pretty great role getting to work with sporting goods on a daily basis. He also is a new father to a toddler. Get to know Patrick by reading our interview below!

What is your current position at GAMMA Sports and how long have you worked here?
VP of Sales & Customer Service. I also dabble in Supply Chain.  I’ve worked at GAMMA for 3.5 years.
How did you come to work with GAMMA?
GAMMA was looking for a VP of Sales and my boss at my former company introduced me.
What’s your favorite part of working at GAMMA?
At GAMMA each employee’s contribution is critical to moving the business forward.  There is a great balance between autonomy and teamwork to get results.
Where did you work before GAMMA?
4moms (baby product company)
Where did you grow up? Are you a native Pittsburgher?
Pittsburgh, born and raised
Where did you go to college and what was your major? Virginia Tech (Communications)
We hear you’re also a big Notre Dame fan, too. Do you prefer college basketball or football more?
Football
Do you play pickleball or tennis?
Now: pickleball; Back in the day: tennis
Being a sport enthusiast, what other sports do you play?
Golf, hockey, basketball
Do you have a favorite sports team that you love seeing live? What’s your favorite memory of a live sporting event you’ve been to?
Pittsburgh Penguins. November 13, 1993 #2 Notre Dame defeated #1 Florida State in one of the greatest college football games of all time
So you and your wife, Stacey, have a toddler on your hands. What is your go-to family activity that you all do in your free time?
We love taking my son Graham outside.  He loves exploring.
Tell us your favorite Graham-story! Is there something that he has done that people would laugh hearing?
Every day something funny happens.  He is into hiding in small confined spaces.  It drives me nuts.
If you had one day to do whatever you wanted, what would you do?
Golf
What’s one piece of advice you wish someone had shared with you when you were younger?
Develop a routine and a good work life balance early in your professional life.
